"A spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon from Revana that is a mélange of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot and is aged for 20 months in 60% new French oak. A deep ruby core with a neon purple rim shows what is to come. A heavenly nose of crushed boysenberry, black plum, blueberry compote, dark chocolate, scorched sage, caramelized orange peel, and purple violet shows the complexity of the wine. Lip-smacking acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, crunchy sweet tannins, and secondary notes of cedary herbs and black fruit preserve complete this well-balanced wine. Better in 2023 and then drink over the next 15 years."

Another knock-out Cabernet from Revana, this one is 100% Cabernet fruit coming from the Estate Vineyards in St. Helena and is aged for 18% months in 80% new French oak barrels, with the rest being neutral. It’s the best wine I tasted this year from Revana, and boasts scrumptious notes of black plum, boysenberry pie, cassis, dark baking chocolate, toasted cinnamon, wet earth, saline, and pencil shavings. It’s complex, wonderfully structured with no rough edges, and finishes long and steady. Enjoy this one over the next 20 years with proper storage. Highly recommended.
